Visa and immigration
! Beware of information on social media platforms (videos/reels/blogs) !
Only trust official sources about immigration to Luxembourg
The Embassy of Luxembourg has been monitoring social media content that gives out false information about visa procedures as well as about the timelines for work permit applications and visa processing. For instance, in reality, Luxembourg does not have a “job seeker” visa category; a work permit cannot be obtained within 5 days; there are no advance guarantees that a visa will be granted. Please carefully verify the information through the official websites https://maee.gouvernement.lu/en/services-aux-citoyens/visa-immigration.html ; https://guichet.public.lu/en/citoyens/immigration.html and/or via the EU Immigration Portal https://immigration-portal.ec.europa.eu/index_en. Regarding the payment of fees, the Embassy of Luxembourg wishes to remind all visa applicants that the visa fees are fixed amounts that can be found on this website and on the website of our authorized external service provider VFS https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/lux. The only additional fee is a service fee for submissions through VFS, the amount of which is indicated on their website. Only authorized Embassy staff can arrange appointments, be it at VFS or at the Embassy. In case of any doubt, do not hesitate to contact the Consulate via e-mail Newdelhi.Consulat@mae.etat.lu , or via phone 0091-11-4998 6612 from Monday to Friday between 12 pm and 1 pm (12:00-13:00).
