Economy

Luxembourg has an open, internationally connected economy at the heart of Europe. As a founding member of both the European Union and the eurozone, it offers direct access to more than 450 million consumers within the European Single Market. The country combines strong political and economic stability, reflected in its enduring AAA credit rating, with a forward‑looking business environment that actively encourages innovation and entrepreneurship.

Companies established in Luxembourg benefit from a highly skilled, multilingual workforce, as well as targeted support for research and development and sustainable technologies. Its diversified economy spans key sectors such as financial services, clean and advanced manufacturing, logistics, digital technologies, health technologies, and the space and satellite industries, positioning Luxembourg as a dynamic launchpad for business in Europe.

Supported by sustained investment in state‑of‑the‑art digital infrastructure and emerging technologies, Luxembourg offers a future‑ready ecosystem for companies seeking to advance in data‑driven innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum technologies.

Luxembourg is also one of the world’s leading international financial centres, attracting global banks, investment funds, insurance companies, and capital‑markets players.
