On 1 July 1948, the Governments of India and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg established diplomatic relations. The resident Embassy was inaugurated in New Delhi on 27 February 2002.

As one of the world’s leading financial centers, with its innovative steel industry and media/ICT sector, among the leaders in Space/Satellites and home to many companies specialized in the automotive or the logistics sectors, Luxembourg is the perfect multilingual business location and we have longstanding and deep bilateral trade and financial relations. On 20 September 2018, I presented my Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of India, the Hon’ble Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prior to the appointment as the 5th Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to India, I was Deputy Head of Mission in London (2014-2018), in Moscow (2010-2014) and in Berlin (2005-2010). From 2000 to 2005, I held various positions at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg. 

On 13 August 2019, I had the honour to be accredited as 2nd Ambassador of Luxembourg to Nepal by the Hon’ble President Mrs Bidhya Devi Bhandari. Luxembourg and Nepal have established diplomatic relations on 27 November 1975.  

On 21 January 2020, I was the first Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to present my credentials to the Hon’ble President of Sri Lanka Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Luxembourg and Sri Lanka established diplomatic relations in 1972.
