The Indian ICT sector discovers Luxembourg

Published Tuesday May 13 2014

For the very first time and with the support of H. E. Mr Gaston Stronck, Luxembourg Ambassador to India, an Indian ICT delegationfrom  the State  of Kerala (South-West India) visited the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on 19 March. The delegation decided to visit Luxembourg during its Europe-Tour since the Grand Duchy is more and more known as an important ICT player in the world. On this occasion, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce organized a full day program and connected the delegates with relevant Luxembourg IT companies. A specific seminar helped Luxembourg companies to get a better overview of the IT niches covered by the Indian companies, but was also the perfect setup to identify the right partners with technological capabilities that can be beneficial to both parties. Especially the presentations ofiT related parks and clusters from Kerala were impressive.

During the seminar Indian  companies gained a better understanding  of possi ble partnerships and clearly understood the market opportunities lying outside of Luxembourg with the benefits to target these EU markets operating out of Luxembourg. Thanks  to the great effort of all Luxembourg IT sector stakeholders, the Indian businesswomen and businessmen were able to engage in discussions regarding collaborations, technology transfer and partnerships with Luxembourg businesses.
The key objective, to facilitate interactions  between IT solutions providers from India and Luxembourg IT companies looking at Indian IT competences, was fully achieved. The seminar was followed by a B2B matchmaking, where the Indian delegates had the opportunity to familiarize with state of-the-art companies from the Luxembourg ICT sector.
