The 18th edition of the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) comes to India with the theme “Celebrating Women”.

The Luxembourg Film 'Your name is Justine' will be shown at the 18th European Film Festival on Sunday, 19th May 2013 at 7 pm at the British Council. 

'Your Name is Justine' tells the story of contemporary sexual slavery. 2 million people are ‘sold’ around the world every year, of which 200,000 are women sold into European prostitution. 15,000 are Polish women … This is the story of one of these women. The film won 'Best Film-Luxembourg Film Prize' in 2007.

Mariola is a young woman from the Polish countryside. With unexciting prospects for the future she craves a new and different life. After getting back together with her former boyfriend, Arthur, he promises to take her on a magical holiday to the seaside. They fall in love. As they drive to Berlin, thinking Arthur is taking her to meet his father, Mariola excitedly learns a few words in German. Mariola is uneasy when they arrive at a strange flat. Something seems wrong. Arthur tells her "it's just for the night". When three of Arthur's friends arrive at the flat one of them slips Arthur some cash. Arthur has just "sold" Mariola into prostitution. Mariola's new life has just begun...
