Luxembourg government endorses Third Industrial Revolution strategy
The government has endorsed the Third Industrial Revolution strategic study commissioned by the economy ministry, the Chamber of Commerce and social innovation agency IMS Luxembourg. Prepared in collaboration with US economist Jeremy Rifkin, the study sets out a blueprint for development of a more sustainable and interconnected economy through the convergence of information, communication, energy and transport technologies via a smart grid. Chamber of Commerce director-general Carlo Thelen says the time is ripe to launch the project, building on existing initiatives such as the development of clusters for various economic sectors.
