Luxembourg Session at the Global Investment Convention (GIC) 2021

On 16 June, during the Luxembourg focused session of the Global Investment Convention 2021, the CEO of Luxinnovation , Mrs. Sasha Baillie recalled the Luxembourg Government’s investments in infrastructure aimed at making Luxembourg a sustainable economy.

In addition, she highlighted the centrality of Luxembourg ‘s location, which is ideal for foreign companies interested in setting up their European headquarters and for catering to a diverse European market. 

The sectoral presentations from Luxinnovation included a presentation by Mr. David Foy, the Head of International Business Development & Digital Economy on data driven innovation strategy; a presentation on circular and sustainable economy by Mr. Georges Schaaf, the Head of International Business Development- Cleantech, as well as a presentation on Luxembourg as a Mobility Living Lab  by Mr. Joost Ortjens, the Head of International Business Development – Automotive. These presentations  provided an overall picture on latest developments in technologies and the business friendly ecosystem in Luxembourg.

The actors from Luxembourg’s business community, who shared their success stories included the Deputy CEO of B Medical Systems , Mr. Jesal Doshi, the Chief Communication Officer of Boson Energy SA , Mr. Heike Zatterstrom as well as Mr. Park Jun-Hyung, the CEO of Infiniq , who was joined by the CEO of Infiniq Europe, Mr. Sven-örjan Larsson.

In addition to the presentations, the virtual booth of  Luxembourg Trade and Invest hosted a number of visitors during the two days of Global Investment Convention (GIC) 2021 which lasted from 15 to 16 June.
