Launch of the Circular Economy Portal Luxembourg

Published Tuesday July 06 2021

The  official launch of the Circular Economy Portal Luxembourg , a joint initiative by the Ministry of Energy and Spatial Planning, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Finance, took place on 22 June. The objective of this new portal, a governmental platform, is to share information about Luxembourg’s Circular Economy Strategy, and to provide information about its practical implementation to public and private stakeholders.

The portal, which constitutes a single point of contact for this cross-cutting theme, will continue to be extended in the coming weeks and to ensure its national and international visibility, it will eventually be available in four languages: Luxembourgish, French, German and English.

In a circular economy, the production and exchange of goods and services and the creation of socio-economic value are based on a circular management of material stocks and flows, taking into account the limits and regenerative capacities of our planet. The strategy for a circular economy in Luxembourg provides a common vision for the implementation of a circular economy and practical guidance for citizens, companies, municipalities and state administrations.
