Francophonie Festival to be held in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru
Half a billion Francophones around the world will celebrate International Francophonie Day on 20 March. This event began in 1998 as a way for the 49 members of Francophone countries to celebrate their common bond, the French language, as well as their diversity. The International Organisation of La Francophonie represents one of the biggest linguistic zones in the world. Its members share more than just a common language. They also share the humanist values. The French language and its values represent the two cornerstones on which the International Organisation of La Francophonie is based.
